Effigy of Balen Shah Set Ablaze by ANNFSU Following Flag Desecration Row

Kathmandu – ANNFSU, the student wing of the CPN-UML, has burned an effigy of Balendra Shah, the senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

The student union burned Shah’s effigy on Friday evening in front of RR Campus at Pradarshani Marga, Kathmandu, to protest the burning of the CPN-UML party flag.

ANNFSU has demanded immediate action against those involved in the flag-burning incident. On Thursday, a group of youths in Dang had set fire to the UML flag.

The UML CPN alleges that the flag was burned by activists affiliated with the RSP.
