Army-Troop Bus Crashes in Bhojpur, 24 Injured

In Bhojpur, a bus carrying Nepali Army personnel has been involved in an accident, leaving 24 people injured. The vehicle was en route to Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality to set up a base camp ahead of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 (March 5, 2026) when it went off the road and plunged about 200 metres down a slope near Setibagar in Bhojpur Municipality-3, police said.

According to officials, the bus (registration Na 4 Kha 7317) was transporting members of the Shree Nath Battalion when the accident occurred. Among the 26 people on board, 24 were injured. Of them, eight were airlifted by a Nepali Army helicopter to Kathmandu for further treatment, while the remainder are being treated at a hospital in Bhojpur.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, which occurred as the security team was travelling to support election preparations.
