Indigenous Agricultural Fair Concluded at Bhrikutimandap (With Photos)

Kathmandu: Fourth National Agricultural Biodiversity Day and the grand Indigenous Agricultural Fair 2082 have been successfully and magnificently concluded at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Organized with the aim of raising public awareness about the conservation and promotion of agricultural biodiversity and the importance of indigenous farming systems, this fair saw notable participation from traders, general citizens, farmers, agricultural experts, researchers and representatives of relevant bodies. The fair featured exhibitions of indigenous crops, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants from various regions of Nepal.

Farmers, entrepreneurs, and journalists who have made significant contributions to the conservation and promotion of indigenous agricultural crops were also honored during the event. Participants emphasized the need for utilizing local produce, preserving traditional knowledge, and formulating farmer-friendly policies.
