Prime Minister Sushila Karki Holds Discussions with Durga Prasai

Kathmandu — Durga Prasai, Coordinator of the Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens, met with Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

During the meeting at Baluwatar on Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Karki appealed for cooperation in maintaining peace and public order in the country and in facilitating the forthcoming national elections.

She also emphasized that free and fair elections are the sole foundation of sustainable democracy and urged all parties to act responsibly.

Prime Minister Karki underscored that the nation can no longer endure further instability and unrest, and called on Prasai to present his demands peacefully through democratic channels and secure endorsement from the people.

Recalling how the government had steered the country back toward peace from difficult circumstances, she stated that the environment necessary for holding elections has now been fully established.
