Kathmandu — Vehicular movement has been halted on the BP Highway section between Kavre-Bhanjyang, Bhakundebesi and Sindhuli. The District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchok has stated that no vehicles will be allowed from 5:00 pm today until 5:00 am tomorrow morning.

With the cyclone named ‘Cyclone Montha’ entering Nepal, light to heavy rain is occurring across various parts of the country, and the Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted heavy rainfall in one or two places in Bagmati Province through tomorrow — prompting this decision.

Meanwhile, the District Administration Office, Sindhuli has also imposed a ban from 5:00 pm this evening on vehicles heading from Khurkot Bazaar, Sindhuli towards Kathmandu along the BP Highway.

Ambulances and other vehicles providing essential services are exempted from the ban.
