Prisoner Dies During Treatment at Kailali Jail

Dhangadhi – A prisoner at Kailali Prison has died during treatment.

According to the prison administration, 56-year-old Ramkisan Chaudhary of Tikapur Municipality–4, who was in custody for a rape charge, died on Monday afternoon.

Prison warden Prakash Dhungana stated that Chaudhary experienced dizziness around 2:30 PM and was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital for treatment. Shortly after being admitted, doctors declared him dead.

Dhungana added that Chaudhary, who was in custody on a rape case, had a history of high blood pressure. Doctors have made a preliminary assessment that his death was caused by hypertension.
