Shangri-la Sambad all set to commence

Kathmandu- In order to increase and develop reading culture and discussion on literature and arts, Shangri-la Literature Festival announced to organize monthly dialogue series Shangri-la Sambad from the month of July. It is set to start its inaugural dialogue event on July 26 at Moksh Bar and Restaurant, Jhamsikhel, 2 PM onwards. The first dialogue shall be dedicated to poetry as per festival directorl Ken Subedi.

The dialogue event will have interaction session between legendary poet and folklore expert Tulasi Diwasa and award-winning poet Ramesh Kshitiz. The session shall be covering the life and
dedication of Diwasa and the role of poetry in the development of culture. Following the interaction session, poems shall be recited by senior as well as contemporary poets. Poets Shailendra Sakar, Avinash Shrestha, Shrawan Mukarung, Shakuntala Joshi, Geeta Tripathi, Tanka Upreti, Jyoti Jungle, Bina Thing Tamang, Sabita Gautam Dahal, Deepak Sapkota, Avaya Shrestha, and Bimala Tumkhewa are set to recite their best poems. The dialogue program shall be inaugurated by Tulasi Diwasa and as per the organizer the dialogue event shall be organized on a monthly basis to create platform for discussion, interaction, book launch, readings and foster the reading and writing culture.
