Kathmandu – The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has scheduled to present its budget on July 13. This decision was made in a meeting of the executive committee held on Friday.

Following the meeting, spokesperson Navin Manandhar informed the media that the municipality is set to fulfill its obligation of presenting the budget by the end of Asar (mid-July). He mentioned that the meeting concluded with plans to hold the municipal assembly at 2 PM on July 13.

For the past six months, executive meetings had been stalled due to a dispute between Mayor Balen Shah and Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Gurai. Mayor Shah faced criticism for not calling a meeting by June 24, as required by law.
