Kathmandu – Completing a project on time in Nepal seems almost like a miracle. Whether it’s a major national project or a minor local initiative, delays have become a systemic problem. This long-standing issue allows leaders, political party workers, and construction companies to benefit, while the general public bears the burden.

Currently, residents in wards 16 and 26 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City are facing such challenges.

In Ward 16, the road in front of Amrit School on Nirmal Lama Marg remains incomplete even after several years. Following pressure from the locals due to the muddy conditions, graveling work has now commenced.

Similarly, the situation in Ward 26 is concerning, where the road at Mhepi, overseen by the ward office, remains unfinished and muddy. Although drainage management started in January and was completed by May, the remaining tasks have yet to progress.

This incomplete work has caused daily difficulties for schoolchildren, pedestrians, bikers, and other locals who rely on these roads.
