The Newar community is celebrating one of its major festivals Yomari Punhi Thursday. The day is also marked as Jyapu Diwas.
Yomari is one of the special sweet dishes generally made of rice floor dough filled with Chaku or Khuwa with supporting spices like sesame, cardamom, coconut pieces and the other.
However, variation in taste, shape and size is available.
Here are pictures captured by Deshsanchar’s Sulav Shrestha- the newar community observing Yomari Punhi and Jyapu Diwas.
