B.P. Highway to be open only during the day, closed for 10 hours at night.

Kathmandu – The Road Division, Bhaktapur, has announced that the road section from Bhakunde Besi Chaukidaanda to Barshe Khola in Kavre will be closed from 6 PM to 4 AM to further improve the newly constructed track.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, the Division stated that the road section has been closed for the time being due to the possibility of dry landslides.

The incessant rainfall and floods that occurred on Ashoj 10, 11, and 12 had completely washed away more than 8 kilometers of the B.P. Highway section from Bhakunde Besi to Barshe Khola (Kavre).

Currently, the road has been opened for passenger vehicles only after the construction of a track.
