NEPSE Index Falls by 26 Points
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index sees decline after two consecutive days of significant growth.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which had seen a significant rise in the previous two trading days, has declined today. The NEPSE index decreased by 26.07 points to settle at 2597.49 points.
Today, a total of 1,015,99,763 units of shares of 310 companies were traded 83,811 times, amounting to a turnover of Rs. 6 billion 778 million 195 thousand 881.
Today, the sub-index of the finance group increased by 1.75%, while all other group sub-indexes declined. The non-life insurance group witnessed the most significant decline of 1.82%. Banking declined by 0.71%, development banks by 1.38%, hotels and tourism by 1.79%, hydropower by 1.74%, investment by 1.52%, and life insurance by 0.40%.
Similarly, production and processing declined by 1.79%, microfinance by 1.12%, mutual funds by 0.41%, trading by 1.18%, and other groups by 0.03%. Three Star Hydropower Limited’s share price hit a positive circuit breaker today, while Bin Nepal Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited’s share price hit a negative circuit breaker.
In terms of turnover, Nepal Finance Limited had the highest turnover of Rs. 200 million 715 thousand 552. In terms of the number of shares traded, Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited Promoter shares had the highest turnover of 7,098,67 units.
