Court Grants Permission to Arrest Medical Professional Durga Prasai

The Kathmandu District Court granted permission on Wednesday to arrest medical professional Durga Prasai on charges of violating the Electronic Transactions Act. The court also authorized the arrest of Jeevan Pandey and Durga Khanal.

According to Ramu Sharma, a court official at the Kathmandu District Court, Prasai is accused of violating provisions of the Electronic Transactions Act.

The police’s Cyber Bureau requested permission to make the arrest.

The police sought permission to take action against them under the Electronic Transactions Act.

Judge Mahendra Kafle’s bench has granted the police permission for the arrests.
