Kathmandu- Nepali congress leader and former Minister Chitra Lekha Yadav has been recommended for Ambassador’s post in Australia and New Zealand.
A meeting of the cabinet recommended her name Monday, days after Foreign Affairs Minister Arzu Rana Deuba said publicly that the
principle of inclusiveness had not been followed while nominating 17 ambassadors the previous month.
Soon after, she is believed to have suggested the name of Yadav, her long-time friend, for appointment as ambassador to Australia and
concurrently to New Zea land. The cabinet approved her suggestion yesterday.
