President Ramchandra Paudel Certifies Transitional Justice Law Amendment Bill.
On Thursday, President Paudel certified the Disappeared Persons Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill, 2081.
After lengthy deliberations, the bill was passed by both houses of Parliament and then certified by the President, thus becoming law. If the Supreme Court does not overturn the amendment through judicial review, it will lay the groundwork for addressing conflict-era incidents.
