Snow avalanche blocks River in Mustang

Pokhara – An avalanche near the Dhaulagiri glacier has blocked Boksi Khola (River) today.

People in the area have been issued alert notice.

Mustang Chief district officer Janak Raj Panta said the avalanche occurred just above Thasang Rural Municipality-2 in Kovang area of the district, about 17-km from Jomson.

‘We went to check the situation after the river was found blocked but we have not been able to get to the spot,’ he said.
