Kathmandu – Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba today. During the meeting at the Ministry, the two discussed various aspects of bilateral relations, as well as issues related to economic and development assistance, and other projects, according to the Ministry.
In the meeting, Minister Rana raised the issue of increasing ‘air connectivity’ between Nepal seeking additional air routes . Minister Rana also brought up the need for India’s initiative to establish a laboratory for quality testing of vegetables and fruits imported through the border areas of Nepal and India.
During the discussion on the Pancheshwar project, Minister Rana mentioned the need to advance the remaining work. Similarly, Rana raised the issue of releasing water into the canal of the Tanakpur dam, providing necessary assistance for flood control and risk reduction in the Badganga, Khado, and Rapti Rivers’s She also said there was need to continue bilateral talks on trade and transit-related issues.
