Suspended Chief Secretary Aryal transferred to the planning commission
Kathmandu- The government has transferred the suspended Chief Secretary Baikunth Aryal.
Minister of Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma informed that the cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to create a special post of chief secretary in the National Planning Commission and transfer him there.
Minister Sharma informed that a special post in commission is assigned throughout the tenure of Aryal. A corrpution case has been registered against Aryal in the special court on Sunday. A case has been registered in the special court against Aryal claiming corruption of 38 crore 67 lakh in the purchase of excise duty stickers. Aryal has been dismissed after the case registration.
The Council of Ministers decided on Monday to open the path for the appointment of new Chief Secretary. There is a provision in the civil Service Act that special position can be made when the position is under suspension. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s office has given the authority of acting Chief Secretary to Leela Devi Gadtaula.
