Vote counting underway in Ilam and Bajhang

Ilam- Vote counting for the Ilam-2 and Bajhang 1(a) by-elections has started Sunday afternoon.

As District Election Officer Devicharan Phuyal stated, vote counting is underway at two venues in Gautam Buddha City Hall in Ilam Bazzar.

A total of 69,287 votes were cast out of 1,15,889 eligible voters, reflecting a 60 percent turnout in the Ilam-2 by-election.

On the other hand, the counting process has commenced at the District Court in Chainpur for the by-elections in Bajhang (Ka).

Out of a total of 61,748 eligible voters, Bajhang recorded a turnout of 30,328 votes on Saturday.
