56 Districts in Nepal Brace for Four Days of Monsoon Torrential Rains
Kathmandu – The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast rainfall for four days starting from Thursday in 56 districts.
The department has predicted that the monsoon system is active across the country, and the moisture-laden air flowing from the Bay of Bengal, along with the low-pressure system formed in that region, will cause thundershowers. Some areas in the Terai region may also experience gusty winds.
Due to the rainfall, there is a risk of landslides, floods, and debris flow. As there is a higher probability of rainfall during the night in the monsoon season, there is a risk of inundation in urban and Terai areas. The department has urged people to take precautions. The department has also predicted that road and air transport may be affected.
