2,200 Nepali Workers Selected for Employment in Israel Through Lottery System

The Israeli government has prepared a list of 2,200 Nepali workers for employment. The list of 2,200 Nepali workers was determined through a lottery system by the Israeli government.

At an event held in Jerusalem, Israel, 1,196 female and 1,006 male workers were selected through the lottery system. The Israeli Embassy in Nepal has informed that the list of 2,200 workers was finalized through the lottery system at an event organized by the Population and Immigration Department of the Israeli government.

Since the attack launched by Hamas on October 7, the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues. After the Hamas attack, the Nepali government also repatriated Nepali workers from Israel, but a large number of Nepali workers are still working in various cities in Israel.

At an event held at the Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu on Thursday, a live broadcast of a program organized in Jerusalem was shown in the presence of journalists and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu has informed that the Population and Immigration Department of Israel will also send the list to Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment.
